Mr Moran is a highly experienced Pastoral Leader and PE teacher with a strong background in secondary education. From the outset of his career, he has been driven by a commitment to supporting young people—particularly those who find education challenging—to help them re-engage, build confidence, and realise their potential.

His professional journey across education has included roles as a cover supervisor, SEND support assistant, class teacher, and Head of Year. This breadth of experience has given Mr Moran a comprehensive understanding of school life and a deep insight into the diverse needs of young people, enabling him to provide targeted, meaningful support that helps students thrive.

Mr Moran has a proven track record of securing strong outcomes both in the classroom and through wider pastoral leadership. He is skilled in behaviour support, emotional wellbeing, and consistent day-to-day care, building trusted relationships with students, families, and colleagues. He firmly believes that every young person deserves the opportunity to succeed, regardless of background or circumstance.

As a PE teacher and passionate sportsperson, Mr Moran actively promotes the values that sport instils—resilience, accountability, discipline, and a strong work ethic. He believes these qualities are fundamental to personal development and takes pride in modelling and reinforcing them with the young people he works with.

Outside of school, Mr Moran is a die-hard Sunderland AFC supporter and a season ticket holder. He often draws on the realities of sport—loyalty, perseverance through setbacks, and pride in representing something bigger than yourself—to connect with students and reinforce positive values.

Mr Moran is guided by the belief that “all young people need is a little help, a little hope, and somebody who believes in them.” This philosophy underpins his work at Summit AP and helps create an environment where young people feel supported, challenged, and empowered to achieve lasting change.
